B. Alan Wallace is president and founder of the Santa Barbara Institute for Consciousness Studies. His research focuses on scientific investigation of nature, origins, and role of consciousness and the study of human well-being and positive psychology. Dr. Wallace often serves as translator for and works in collaboration with HH the Dalai Lama. Among his many publications are Contemplative Science: Where Buddhism and Neuroscience Converge; The Taboo of Subjectivity: Toward a New Science of Consciousness; Buddhism with an Attitude: The Tibetan Seven-Point Mind-Training.
