David Schrader is Executive Director of the American Philosophical Association, a position that he has held since 2006.  Prior to assuming his position with the APA, Dr. Schrader taught philosophy for thirty-one years at Loras College (Dubuque, IA), Austin College (Sherman, TX), and Washington and Jefferson College (Washington, PA).  Dr. Schrader has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Saint Olaf College (Northfield, MN), a Master of Theological Studies degree from Harvard University, and a Master or Arts and Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Massachusetts.

Dr. Schrader is President of the International Society for Value Inquiry.  He is also an Associate of the University of Pittsburgh Center for Philosophy of Science.  He has published largely in the areas of Ethics and Social Philosophy, Philosophy of Religion, and Religion and Science.
