Brian G. Henning is Associate Professor of Philosophy at Gonzaga University. His scholarship and teaching focuses on the interconnections among ethics, metaphysics, and aesthetics. His first systematic exploration of these interconnections was developed in his award winning book, The Ethics of Creativity: Beauty, Morality, and Nature in a Processive Cosmos. He teaches courses on environmental philosophy, moral philosophy, American philosophy, metaphysics, and the history of philosophy. He is currently working on several edited works and a monograph on the ethics of global climate change. Dr. Henning spends much of his professional service advancing the work of the British born mathematician-philosopher Alfred North Whitehead (1861-1947).
