Professor Abdul Majidﾠ did hisﾠ M.Sc &ﾠ M. Phil inﾠ Molecular Biology from Quaid-i- Azam University , Islamabadﾠ andﾠ M.A Islamic Studies from University of Peshawar , Peshawar.ﾠ He has wonﾠ CTNSﾠﾠ Science-Religion Award 2001 on his course Islam and Science on evolution and Creationﾠ andﾠ also developmentﾠ course award on the same course in 2002. Prof. Majid also won eightﾠ presidentialﾠ Seerat awardsﾠ on his research articles from 1986 to 2009ﾠ . He has attended many national and international conferences on religion and science esp. fourﾠ Internationalﾠ conferences organized by Metanexus Institute in Philadelphia , PA .He is an Associate Editor ofﾠ the journal of HSSRDﾖ Science- Religionﾠ Dialogue. Heﾠ has many published articles both in Urdu and English toﾠ hisﾠ credit on different aspects of religion and science. Authors of threeﾠ books in Urduﾠ & co-translator of Dr. John Haughtﾒs booksﾠ Science & Religion : From Conflict to conversation;ﾠ ﾠﾠ& Is Nature Enough: Meaning & Truthﾠ in ﾠthe Age of Science from English into Urdu. Professor Majid is the founder chairperson of HSSRD (www.hssrd.org) .The Society has the honor to be the first society that has won three consecutive supplemental grant awardsﾠﾠ from Metanexus Institute under Local Society Initiativeﾠ Programﾠ for its creative programsﾠﾠ for the promotion of science-religion dialogue in Pakistan. Recentlyﾠ he along with his other colleaguesﾠ has founded Society for interaction of Religion , Science and Technology-SIRST- (www.sirst.org ) Pakistan forﾠ promotion ofﾠ the nobleﾠ cause of Science-Religion Discourseﾠ and Interfaith Harmony.
