Alfredo de Oliveira Dinis
Bio
Alfredo de Oliveira Dinis is the Faculty Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy of Braga (Portugal) where he has been lecturing since 1989 on subjects such as Philosophy of Science, Logic, and Cognitive Science. He was born on 16 April 1952. He graduated in Philosophy at the Catholic University of Portugal (1979) and in Theology at the Gregorian University of Rome (1985). He obtained an MPhil and a PhD in History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Cambridge, UK (1989). He is a Jesuit priest. He is also the President of the Portuguese Society for the Cognitive Sciences. Recent publications include: “Aspectos científicos e filosóficos no estudo do correlato neural da consciência” in A.
