Ilia Delio is Associate Professor in the Department of Ecclesiastical History at the Washington Theological Union.  She holds a doctorate in Pharmacology from UMDNJ-Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and a doctorate in Historical Theology from Fordham University.  She is currently director of Franciscan Studies and academic coordinator of Spirituality Studies at the Washington Theological Union.
