Instructions:

Please fill in the abstract form using Microsoft Word and return to us in an email to stproundtable@metanexus.net. Abstracts sent to an email address other than this one may be delayed. If you have opened the attachment and have saved it as a Microsoft Word Document file (usually with the extension of .doc), please open the attachment again and save it as a Rich Text Format File (RTF) with an .rtf extension. You must make sure that the dialog box says Rich Text Format File where it says Save Type As. If Word asks if you want to change the format when you are saving the attachment - do not say yes. It is important to maintain the RTF format so that we can properly process your submission. You can cut and paste text into the shaded field of the abstract box and all other fields. If you cut and paste, make sure all of your text appears.

Please give us the major title and institution affiliation that you enter in the abstract.

Enter one fax number where you would like your colleagues to contact you.

Roundtable topics:
Under the roundtable topics you will find the themes of the discussions we will be sponsoring. Please put an X in the box beside roundtable in which you would like to participate. Below is the list of these topics. The corresponding themes are underlined and in bold.

2. Religious Conversion: What are the interrelationships between religious conversion and spiritual transformation?

3. Phenomenology of Spiritual Transformation across cultures: How do people experience spiritual transformation?

4. Costs of Spiritual Transformation: Does spiritual transformation have harmful outcomes to individuals or societies?

5. Benefits of Spiritual Transformation: Does spiritual transformation relate to well-being on individual and social levels?

6. Illness and Spiritual Transformation: How does spiritual transformation influence health outcomes in illnesses that are chronic, severe, terminal, or mental?

7. Addiction and Spiritual Transformation: Does spiritual transformation have a role in treatment of and recovery from addiction?

8. Deviant behavior and Criminality: Does spiritual transformation have a role in modifying deviance and criminal behavior?

9. Charismatic movements: What is the role of the spiritual transformation in charismatic movements?

10. Spiritual Transformation and Society: What are the correlates and consequences of spiritual transformation at various social levels, from community to nation?

11. Spiritual Transformation and the Workplace: What role does spiritual transformation play in corporate cultures, faith-based and other non-profit organizations, and governmental and non-governmental organizations?

Abstract:
The space provided is for your abstract. Your abstract is meant to serve as a succinct and accurate description of the presentation. Please do not exceed the space provided. You are required to use the Times New Roman font (English) with a font size of 10 points.

Your abstract title and author names must appear in the abstract box before the text of the abstract. Use the following format for the title and authors.

Abstract title; first author, other authors

Author names are separated by commas. Please note that the authors name follows the format “Last Name” “First Initial” with a space in between. Below is a sample of an abstract title.
