Submission
Information for Roundtable Abstracts
Abstracts
received will be peer reviewed and those accepted will be assigned
one of the roundtable discussion
groups.
Our roundtables will
provide specific facilitated discussions for each of the topics
on the roundtable list (link to page 2, roundtable topics). We are
using a roundtable format because it allows our participants to
develop ideas and approaches necessary for in depth studies of spiritual
transformation.
We have defined broad
topical questions for each roundtable discussion group to facilitate
open dialogue. We are not seeking single answers. Generally roundtables
provide the advantage of having participants who already have significant
knowledge on the topic and are looking to connect with colleagues
with complementary and/or supplementary knowledge of the subject.
Each roundtable will
have up to 10 participants selected on the basis of the peer-reviewed
abstracts that are submitted. In general, each roundtable will have
a facilitator who will focus the discussions and a leading discussant
who will initiate the roundtable with a brief presentation. In order
to be a participant in the roundtable, you must submit an abstract
(link to page 4) for peer-review. Abstracts selected for the roundtable
will be automatically registered for that specific roundtable.
In addition, you can
attend the roundtable without being a participant at the table.
There will be an outer-ring for this audience. There will be a programmed
opportunity for the outer-ring to raise questions at the end of
each session. To participate in the outer-ring, you must sign up
for the roundtable at the conference registration table onsite at
Villanova.
The selected roundtable
participants will receive an electronic copy of each participant's
abstract and contact information in advance of the meeting. Bound
copies will be available for each table at the time of the meeting.
Additional copies of the abstracts will be available for the outer-ring
audience.
