After having launched the space rover Curiosity to Mars, researchers at NASA are now planning to send people to the red planet. Work has begun at Michoud Assembly Facility to find ways by which Mars could be made a reachable planet.

It has been reported that the Boeing engineers have been given the responsibility to built 70-ton heavy-lift rocket for deep space missions like the one envisioned to Mars. The foremost challenge in front of the engineers is to design the model of the rocket. Once the design is completed, the engineers will begin the work on the rocket. It is believed that the height of the new rocket will be more than 200 feet and that the engineers have a budget of $1.2 billion to achieve their goal.
